Discolored Sink Water and the Causes

On occasion, the sink water from the cold water tap kitchen is yellow. This is my favorite resource, Google! Here are some common causes of discolored water.
If you have yellow, red or orange water (like me), it has rust in the water. The color change depends on the oxidation of the oxide. Oxidation in water will not cause health problems.
Oxidized water can come from city or water pipes in your home. If your problem only arises when using cold water (again, like me), if the color change is sudden or the color is faded in all the taps, water of the city.
